Illinois AEYC Committees
A Great Way to Be Involved !
Much
of the work of Illinois AEYC's Governing Board is accomplished through
efficient committee structure. Serving on one of Illinois AEYC's
committees is a great way to be involved while getting to know other
early childhood professionals from around the state. Membership in the
Illinois AEYC's standing committees (with the exception of the
Executive Committee) is open to anyone interested in being involved in
the operation of the organization. Most committee work is done through
conference calls, emails and through online communities. Committee
meetings may also take place in conjunction with Illinois AEYC's
quarterly Board and Business meetings. While non-board committee
members are not required to attend these meetings, they are always
welcome. In addition to he Executive Committee, current standing
committees of the Illinois Association for the Education of Young
Children's Governing Board include:
- Finance
- Public Relations
- Professional Development & Conference
- Public Policy
- Accreditation
- Affiliate and Member Relations
In
addition to standing committees, short term or ad-hoc commitees may
also be appointed by the President to address specific or time
sensitive issues. All Illinois AEYC members are welcome and encouraged
to share their expertise or interest by serving on one of these
committees.
