Illinois AEYC Committees
A Great Way to Be Involved !
Much of the work of Illinois AEYC’s Governing Board is accomplished through efficient committee structure. Serving on one of Illinois AEYC’s committees is a great way to be involved while getting to know other early childhood professionals from around the state. Membership in the Illinois AEYC’s standing committees (with the exception of the Executive Committee) is open to anyone interested in being involved in the operation of the organization. Most committee work is done through conference calls, emails and through online communities. Committee meetings may also take place in conjunction with Illinois AEYC’s quarterly Board meetings. While non-board committee members are not required to attend these meetings, they are always welcome. In addition to the Executive Committee, current standing committees of the Illinois Association for the Education of Young Children’s Governing Board include:
- Finance
- Member & Public Relations
- Professional Development
- Conference
- Public Policy/Advocacy
