As you all know, legislative session ended on June 30th. We are very pleased that legislators made Illinois children and families a priority and provided a much-needed increase in the budget for early care and education beginning July 1st. To show our appreciation, we are asking the early childhood community in Illinois to send thank you letters to both state senators and representatives. Click here for a sample letter that you can use or you can feel free to draft your own. These letters can be sent in the form of email or via snail mail. Our goal is for every legislator in the state of Illinois to get letters expressing our appreciation. We ask that you first send the letter and then (equally important), we ask that you fill out this brief survey so that we can track the number of letters sent to each legislator.
